Pianist and Showman Dean Malsack dies

Grammy nominee Dean Malsack set the mood with beautiful music.

It is great sadness that I report the death just days ago of accomplished pianist,   performer and master teacher Dean Malsack, 59.

A year ago today, Dean’s rousing music lifted the spirits of hundreds of guests gathered in Castel di Casio, Italy, celebrating the 80th birthday of Paul Magelli Sr.

“Paul and Karolyn Magelli, the Magelli Family and the nearly 500 who celebrated in Castel Di Casio  carry the sound of his music in our hearts and cherish our time with the penultimate musician and gentle soul.”

Dean’s obituary and information on visitation and a funeral Mass were printed in today’s Chicago Tribune newspaper.

Please sign the online guest book that his family will certainly cherish.

And enjoy some of his music. Download Dean’s songs in Italy.

Our hearts and prayers are with his beloved family, friends and fellow musicians. Thank you, Dean. You showed us how to bring joy to others.
